Marketplace Risk & Anti-Money-Laundering Policy
Who is responsible for marketplace safety, proportionate risk checks and compliance decisions.
Effective and last updated: 15 October 2026
Ownership, scope and governance
SELLERPRO INTERNATIONAL BUSINESS TECHNOLOGY HOLDINGS LIMITED operates Bazaretti. Yang Liu is the responsible representative unless another person is formally appointed. Bazaretti owns its marketplace-wide seller admission, buyer risk, product eligibility, order monitoring, investigations, enforcement, recordkeeping and governance responsibilities under applicable law and its actual contractual and regulated status.
The policy aims to prevent and detect money laundering, terrorist financing, sanctions evasion, identity theft, payment fraud, counterfeit goods, refund abuse and collusion. It establishes requirements, not a certification that every described control is already operating or that a provider or regulator has approved the business.
Management must appoint an operational risk owner, define staff responsibilities and escalation authority, review significant incidents and unresolved high-risk cases, and retain policy approvals, training, control tests, exceptions and remediation records. Review at least annually and after material changes to countries, products, business model, payments or provider requirements.
Provider verification is separate from marketplace decisions
Our payment partner independently decides seller onboarding verification under the expressly enabled and agreed service scope. Preliminary marketplace checks cannot replace, override or compel its verification decision. Pending submission, requests for information, rejection, restriction and suspension must not be represented as approval.
Seller onboarding is not necessarily payment activation. The approved configuration, written provider confirmation and signed agreements determine available payment, refund and settlement services. A verification badge does not certify every listing or imply the provider monitors all buyers or marketplace transactions.
Bazaretti must maintain an approved funds-flow description identifying who contracts with the buyer, is merchant of record, accepts payments, controls funds, settles sellers and handles refunds, disputes and chargebacks. Website claims must match those arrangements; unapproved or inactive services must not be advertised as available.
Risk-based seller and buyer checks
Bazaretti accepts registered business sellers. Required information includes legal/trading identity, registration, contact and address details, business activity, product categories and ownership/controllers where applicable. Ownership definitions and evidence requirements depend on jurisdiction and provider rules, not one universal threshold.
Use appropriate, lawful methods to assess document and data consistency, seller eligibility and payout-account ownership. Record legitimate differences rather than silently replacing information. Document quality, metadata, OCR or an automated score alone cannot conclusively establish authenticity or fraud.
Buyer checks must be proportionate. Use available account-security and payment authentication signals; request additional identity evidence only for a documented legal, contractual or material-risk reason. Billing or shipping mismatches and repeated complaints are indicators for review, not automatic proof of wrongdoing.
Screening and enhanced review requirements
Determine screening scope, parties, sources, timing, rescreening frequency and lawful basis according to applicable law, contract and documented risk. Seller ownership complexity, jurisdictions, product categories, anticipated activity, unusual growth, disputes and adverse signals may require enhanced evidence and review.
A possible sanctions match must be assessed against relevant identifiers and escalated where unresolved. Politically exposed person status or adverse information is a risk factor, not proof of wrongdoing. Do not imply universal buyer screening or a screening service is live without implementation and test evidence.
Record sources, dates, results, reasons, decisions, reviewer/system and justified overrides. Provide a correction and escalation route for inaccurate or uncertain results.
Listings, orders, tracking and protective holds
Product eligibility and required evidence must be reviewed before activation where necessary. Imported products are not automatically compliant. Monitor available order, payment, tracking, delivery and refund signals for material anomalies, invalid or reused tracking, suspicious activity and possible collusion.
Restrictions, delayed fulfilment, holds, cancellation or suspension must be supported by evidence, policy, law and provider rules. Do not assume Bazaretti can control money or data held by a provider. Document the reason, review criteria, release decision and appropriate communications for protective holds.
Seller net funds follow the published day-30, day-45 and day-60 eligibility schedule after customer receipt, subject to cleared funds and outstanding issues. A risk hold requires authorised staff review and clearance rather than automatic release. Provider-dependent actions remain subject to separately activated capabilities.
Investigations, refunds and reporting
Material alerts require documented triage, an accountable owner, a target review time, preserved evidence and an appropriate decision or escalation. Record order and payment references, communications, tracking, provider responses and the rationale for corrective action.
Bazaretti decides marketplace remedies; sellers may respond with evidence and recommendations. Approved refunds are submitted through the supported provider process, normally to the original payment method. A documented, lawful and provider-approved exception is required for another route. Approval is not proof of refund completion.
Assess reporting duties according to the jurisdiction, actual regulated status and circumstances. Escalate serious concerns to the responsible owner, legal advisers or relevant provider as required. Confidential reporting or investigative details must not be disclosed where prohibited.
Records, security and implementation evidence
Maintain a lawful retention schedule, access restrictions, security safeguards, vendor oversight and incident-response procedures. Staff access to identity and bank evidence must be limited to their responsibilities. Collect only necessary information and provide the privacy notices and lawful basis required for processing.
Before describing a control as operational, record its accountable owner, implementation status, test date, evidence and limitations. This includes document-fraud tools, buyer risk rules, screening, provider configuration, status events, funds flow, product review, retention, staff training and quality assurance.
Test authentication, retries, duplicate events, failure handling and data minimisation in provider integrations. Review false positives, missed cases, overdue reviews and recurring gaps; assign corrective actions and record closure. An unsigned policy or software feature alone is not evidence that a control has been approved or tested.
Corrections, appeals and contact
To report a safety or fraud concern, correct information or appeal a marketplace decision, contact hello@bazaretti.com from your registered email with the relevant order, listing or decision reference and evidence. Restrictions may remain where needed to protect customers or comply with law. Our payment partner retains independent authority over its own verification decisions.
